About NOFE
NOFE is a non-profit scientific association founded in 1990. The association aims to promote the scientific discipline of epidemiology and increase awareness of the importance of epidemiological knowledge in healthcare and public health efforts.
NOFE works to encourage collaboration among people who work with or are interested in epidemiology, promote recruitment and education in the field, and strengthen cooperation with international epidemiology organizations.
Each year, NOFE organizes an epidemiology conference alongside its annual meeting. The location rotates between Bergen, Tromsø, Trondheim, and Oslo.
The association is led by a board with eight members from all locations, elected for two-year terms. NOFE also publishes the journal “Norsk Epidemiologi” (Norwegian Epidemiology), which is released once or twice a year, usually as a special issue.
